The first step is to prepare your large chipboard tags and to cut out ten tags using the Tim Holtz die cutting dies and different kinds of paper for each one.

 

Then start working on the cover and inside pages. Glue all the paper tags to the chipboard ones (as shown in the video) and when you’re finished, decorate the pages with small tags. After you’ve done that, it’s time to work on the cover. You will need the small hearts, flowers, gears, stickers, metal leaves, brads (paper fasteners) and die cut shapes, which you can attach with glue or sticky foam pads.

 

Cut out the frame, a few flowers and some leaves from paper and get some gears and brads ready. Stick the smaller tag to the cover first then stick on the paper flowers and the frame over the top with sticky foam pads (3mm thickness). Choose a word to stick onto the frame, this time using smaller sticky foam pads (2mm thickness). Glue the gears on two corners of the frame, selecting diagonally opposite corners, and on the other two corners add arrangements of flowers and metal leaves. In the corner of album cover attach a paper banner with a brad. Glue a metal gear wheel around the hole in the big tag.

 

On the inside of your cover make a small pocket out of paper and decorate it with the Martha Stewart border punch. Stick the pocket on with 2mm sticky foam.

 

Next we can start decorating all the pages in our album. I prepared four irregular squares and four crafts tags with the metal circles positioned at the top. On all of the pages I stuck one of these tags and then used sticky foam to attach the square on top. I just added a few of my favourite metal embellishments to each card and some die cut shapes from the Lost and Found collection. Organise your decorations to create interesting contrasting arrangements; this will make your album more interesting and colourful.

 

Add small paper labels to some or all of the squares so that when the album is complete and you add photos you will be able to write in some notes, such as the date and place where the photo was taken.

 

Next cut the metal butterfly in half and curl both wings up slightly then stick them under each side of one of the squares where you will stick your photos.

 

I only decorated four of the cards in this album because I like to have plenty of space to write information about the photos, such as the names of my friends or family members who are in the pictures, or sometimes just for signature. However, if you want more pictures inside you can put some more in the pocket on the inside of the front cover or decorate four more pages.

 

When you have finished you should fasten all the cards together using a metal hoop, such as a large key ring, to which you can also add one or more decorative charms.

 

Finally your album is ready and I think it makes a fabulous gift for a birthday or anniversary.

Pour préparer les chipboards qui constituent le mini album, commencez par couper 10 tags, dans chacun des papiers, à l’aide du die Tim Holtz.

Ensuite, commencez par travailler la couverture et les pages intérieures en collant vos découpes recto/verso comme sur la vidéo. Quand vous avez terminé, vous pouvez décorer les pages avec de plus petites étiquettes.

 

Après cette étape, attaquons-nous à la couverture. Nous aurons besoin des petits boutons de fleurs, des engrenages, des étiquettes, des feuilles en métal, de la mousse 3D, des brads et des éléments découpés.

 

Coupez le cadre, quelques fleurs et des feuillages dans du papier. Préparez les engrenages et brads. Collez la petite étiquette sur la couverture et collez ensuite les fleurs en papier et le cadre par-dessus avec la mousse 3D 3mm. Sur le cadre mettez votre mot favori en relief grâce à la mousse 3D 2mm. Sur les deux angles opposés, collez les engrenages et sur les deux autres, ajoutez des compositions de fleurs et de feuilles de métal. Dans le coin de la couverture d'album, ajoutez la bannière avec un brad et autour du trou du grand tag collez un engrenage en métal.

 

À l'intérieur de votre couverture, vous pourrez coller à la mousse 3D 2mm une petite pochette en papier que vous aurez décorée au préalable avec la perforatrice de bordure Martha Stewart. Votre couverture est terminée.

 

Dans l'étape suivante, nous pouvons commencer à décorer toutes les pages de notre album. J'ai préparé 4 carrés irréguliers et 4 étiquettes en craft. Sur toutes les pages je colle les étiquettes et par-dessus je place les carrés avec la mousse 3D. Je viens ajouter quelques embellissements en métal sur chaque carte et des découpes à partir de la collection « Lost and Found ». Créez vos superpositions en réalisant un contraste doux entre chaque élément. Votre album sera plus profond et coloré.

 

Sur tous les carrés -ou sur quelques-uns seulement- vous pouvez ajouter de petits morceaux de papier pour écrire quelque chose, comme une date ou le nom du lieu où la photo a été prise.

 

Dans la prochaine étape, coupez le papillon du métal en deux parties et relevez un peu les deux ailes. Collez-le sous la place pour la photo (carré).

 

Dans cet album, j’ai décoré seulement quatre cartes parce que j'aime quand il y a de la place pour écrire quelque chose à propos de la photo, ou encore le nom de mes amis ou de la famille qui sont sur cette photo, ou juste pour la signature. Mais si vous voulez y mettre plus d’images, vous pouvez en glisser quelques-unes à l'intérieur d’une pochette que vous placerez sur la seconde couverture ou bien décorer quatre autres pages.

 

Lorsque vous avez terminé, vous fixerez toutes les cartes ensemble à l'aide d’un anneau en métal sur lequel vous pourrez ajouter une ou plusieurs de vos breloques préférées.

 

Votre album est prêt et je pense qu’il peut devenir un petit cadeau sympa pour un anniversaire par exemple.
