Creating The Cover

 

1- Cut a piece of Kraft card 11” (27.9cm) in length and 6” (15.2cm) in width. Place the card onto a scoring board and score the card at 4.25” (10.7cm), 4.5” (11.4cm), 4.75” (12cm) and 9.5” (24.1cm) working from the left-hand side. Use a bone folder to give a good crease at each fold line.

 

2- Die cut a circle from scrap card and then place the circular aperture onto the Kraft cover. Blend White Heavy Body Acrylic over the circular aperture area; then add a layer of Turquoise Acrylic Paint and then Ocean Acrylic Paint around the edges of the circle. Take time to blend the paint with your fingers. Repeat this process to add two more part circles to the cover. Dry the paint with a heat tool.

 

3- Sprinkle a fine layer of Infusions Crystals over the front cover and then spritz with water and then dry with a heat tool.

 

4- Repeat the same process to decorate the panel on the right-hand side of the cover.

 

5- Rub over the decorated areas with an Anti-static Bag and then place the Linen Layering Stencil onto the front cover and apply VersaMark Ink randomly over the stencil. Remove the stencil and then sprinkle with Gold Embossing Powder, tip off the excess and then heat the powder with a Heat Tool to melt. Repeat this process for the panel on the right-hand side of the cover.

 

6- Add Infusions crystals to the back of the cover and then spritz with water and then dry with a heat tool. Repeat the same process above to add gold embossing to the back panel of the cover.

 

7- Ink the Fox image from Olga’s stamp set with Black Archival Ink and stamp the image onto the circular areas of the front cover. I used a Stamp Platform for this process.

 

8- Die cut two circles from Kraft card, color each circular piece with Heavy Body Acrylics, dry the paint with a heat tool and then ink the Fox stamp with Black Archival Ink and then stamp the image onto the die cut circle, repeat this process for the second circle. Adhere each circle, one on top of the other to give dimension to the design.

 

9- Apply White Heavy Body Acrylic to the number stamp from Fiona’s stamp set and then stamp the numbers onto the cover; repeat this process to add random numbers to the cover.

 

10- Ink the ‘Make Time To Enjoy’ sentiment with Black Archival Ink and stamp onto a piece of scrap white card, cut out the sentiment, colour the edges of the sentiment with Turquoise Paint, applying with a piece of Cut ‘n’ Dry Foam and then adhere the sentiment onto the front cover.

 

11- Colour the edges of the cover with Turquoise Heavy Body Acrylic Paint, applying the paint to the edges with a piece of Cut ‘n’ Dry Foam and then dry the paint with a heat tool.

 

12- Using a White Posca Paint Pen, lightly flick paint onto the background of the cover and then dry the paint with a heat tool.

 

13- Add a Hitch Fastener to the right-hand side of the cover and then fasten twine to the Hitch Fastener which will be used to secure the mini journal closed.

 

 

 

Creating The Inside Pages
 

1- Cut the inside pages 9” (22.8cm) in length x 5.5” (13.9cm) in width.  Cut five pages for each signature. Two signatures with five pages were created for this journal.

 

2- Place the Linen Layering Stencil onto a double page spread and then sprinkle Infusions over the stencil and then spritz with water. Dab the stencil with a piece of kitchen towel and then remove. Dab any remaining ink left on the stencil onto a second double page spread and dab with a piece of kitchen towel. This gives a second-generation print. Dry both pages with a heat tool.

 

3- Ink the number stamp from Fiona’s stamp set with Ocean Heavy Body Acrylic, applying the paint with a piece of Cut ‘n’ Dry Foam and then stamp the numbers onto the page. Repeat this process to add random stamping around the background of the double page spread. Dry the paint with a heat tool. Remember you can also get a second generation stamping from one application of paint.

 

3- Die cut a tag from white card, or use any tag you have in your products, cut the tag in half and then place the Linen Layering Stencil onto the tag pieces and then apply Lime Acrylic Paint over the stencil, applying the paint with a piece of Cut ‘n’ Dry Foam. Remove the stencil and then adhere the tag pieces to the double page spread.

 

4- Ink the Positive Mind sentiment with Black Archival Ink and stamp the text onto the tag.

 

5- Ink the heart stamp from Tracy’s stamp set with Ocean Acrylic Paint, applying the paint to the stamp with a piece of Cut ‘n’ Dry Foam and then stamp the heart onto a piece of white card. Dry the paint with a heat tool and then cut out the heart. Affix the heart to the journal page.

 

6- Add a small amount of Ocean Acrylic Paint to a Non-Stick Craft Sheet, dip the end of a paintbrush or a small ball tool into the paint and then add dots of paint to the background of the journal pages. Dry the paint with a heat tool.

 

7- Die cut several circular page reinforce pieces from the white card (the Tim Holtz Tag and Bookplate Die has the perfect die cut piece for this). Colour each of the circular pieces with Lime Acrylic Paint and then dry with a heat tool.  Add two of the circular pieces to the journal page.

 

8- Add a small amount of Ocean Acrylic Paint to a Non-Stick Craft Sheet, dip an old credit card into the paint and then press the card onto the edges of the journal pages. Repeat this process to add random scratchy lines around the edges of the page.

 

9- Moving onto the second double page spread place the Linen Layering Stencil onto the journal pages and then apply Ocean Acrylic Paint over the stencil and then remove the stencil. Repeat this process to add random stenciling across the page and then dry the paint with a heat tool.

 

10- Ink the Heart stamp from Tracy’s stamp set with Black Archival Ink and then stamp the heart onto the page. Stamp a heart onto scrap paper, cut out and use this as a mask. Place the mask on the first stamped heart and then ink the stamp once again and add a second heart stamping, overlapping the first stamped image. Remove the mask and repeat to add a third stamping. A Stamping Platform was used for this stamping process.

 

11- Add three circular reinforcement pieces to the page.

 

12- Add scratchy paint lines to the outside edges of the pages.

 

13- Moving onto the third double page, using a water brush or paintbrush apply water directly to the page and then add a blue shade of watercolor to the page and then tip the page to allow the paint to run down the page and then dry with a heat tool.

 

14- Die-cut circles from a piece of scrap card. Die cut differing sized circles from the card. Place the aperture circle piece onto the journal page and then apply Heavy Body Acrylic Paints over the circles, applying the paint with a finger. Repeat the same process to add random circles across the double page spread and then dry the paint with a heat tool.

 

15- Place the Stripes Layering Stencil over the stenciled circles and then apply White Acrylic Paint over the stencil to add random striped areas over each circle and then dry the paint with a heat tool.

 

16- Place the AALLandCreate Stencil designed by Autour de Mwa onto the background and then apply Ocean Acrylic Paint over the stencil, remove the stencil and repeat and then dry the paint with a heat tool.

 

17- Ink the background stamp from the Tim Holtz stamp set with Black Archival Ink and stamp the image onto the background. Re-ink the stamp and repeat the process several times to add random stamping to the background.

 

18- Die cut a circular tag shape from white card, ink the fox stamp with Black Archival Ink and then stamp the image onto the circular tag. Affix the tag to the page, adding cotton threads behind for added texture.

 

19- Stamp ‘Fearless’ onto the journal page using Black Archival Ink (a stamp platform was used for this process).

 

20- Moving onto the single journal page apply Twisted Citron Distress Oxide ink directly onto the acetate, simply press and swipe the ink pad across the acetate and then spritz the ink with water. Press the inked acetate onto the background of the journal page and then spritz the page and then dry the ink with a heat tool. Repeat this process with Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide Ink but only use a small amount of this color so that it does not overpower the first layer of color. Dry the ink with a heat tool.

 

21- Ink the background stamp from the Tim Holtz stamp set with Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide Ink and stamp the image onto the page, repeat this process to add random stamping to the background of the page and then dry the ink with a heat tool.

 

22- Add random lengths of Design Tape to the background.

 

23- Take a small frame and color with Acrylic Paints, applying the paint to the frame with your finger, beginning with Lime and then touches of Turquoise. Dry the paint with a heat tool.

 

24- Draw around the aperture of the frame onto a piece of scrap white card, cut out the oval shape and then ink the Fox image with black Archival Ink and stamp onto the oval piece. Adhere the oval piece to the journal page and add the frame on top.

 

25- Add a small amount of Turquoise Paint to a Non-Stick Craft Sheet, dip a wet paintbrush into the paint and lightly flick the paint onto the page and then dry with a heat tool.

 

26- Add a Big Chat Sticker to the page.

 

27- Use black thread to bind the pages and the cover together.

Créer la couverture:

 

 

1- Coupez un morceau de carte Kraft de 11 "(27,9 cm) de longueur et de 6" (15,2 cm) de largeur. Placez la carte sur un tableau de pointage et marquez des plis à 4,25" (10,7 cm), 4,5" (11,4 cm), 4,75" (12 cm) et 9,5" (24,1 cm) en partant du côté gauche. 

 

 

2- Découpez un cercle à partir d'une carte de ferraille, puis placez l'ouverture circulaire sur la couverture Kraft. Mélanger l'acrylique pour le corps lourd blanc sur la zone d'ouverture circulaire; Ensuite, ajoutez une couche de peinture acrylique turquoise et de la peinture acrylique sur les bords du cercle. Prenez le temps de mélanger la peinture avec vos doigts. Répétez ce processus pour ajouter deux cercles de partie à la couverture. Sécher la peinture avec un outil de chauffage.

 

 

3- Saupoudrer une fine couche de cristaux Infusions sur le couvercle avant, puis vaporiser avec de l'eau et sécher avec un outil chauffant.

 

 

4- Répétez le même processus pour décorer le panneau sur le côté droit de la couverture.

 

 

5- Frottez les zones décorées avec un sac antistatique, puis placez le Pochoir à couches sur la couverture et appliquez VersaMark Ink au hasard sur le pochoir. Retirer le pochoir, puis saupoudrer de poudre de gaufrage en or, égoutter l'excès et chauffer la poudre avec un outil chauffant pour la faire fondre. Répétez ce processus pour le panneau sur le côté droit de la couverture.

 

 

6- Ajouter des cristaux d'infusions à l'arrière de la couverture, puis vaporiser avec de l'eau puis sécher avec un outil chauffant. Répétez le même processus ci-dessus pour ajouter un gaufrage en or sur le panneau arrière du couvercle.

 

 

7- Encrer l'image Fox du jeu de tampons d'Olga avec l'encre noire d'archives et tamponner l'image sur les zones circulaires de la couverture avant. J'ai utilisé une plate-forme de tampon pour ce processus.

 

 

8- Découpez deux cercles de la carte Kraft, coloriez chaque pièce circulaire avec du Heavy Body Acrylics, séchez la peinture à l'aide d'un outil chauffant, puis imprimez le tampon Fox avec de l'encre noire et tamponnez l'image sur le cercle découpé. Répétez ce processus. pour le deuxième cercle. Coller chaque cercle, l'un sur l'autre pour donner une dimension à la conception.

 

 

9- Appliquez l'Acrylique blanc sur l'estampille numérique du jeu de timbres de Fiona, puis tamponnez les chiffres sur la couverture; répétez ce processus pour ajouter des nombres aléatoires à la couverture.

 

 

10- Encrer le sentiment «Make Time To Enjoy» avec de l'encre noire Archival et tamponner sur un morceau de carte blanche, découpez le sentiment, colorez les bords du sentiment avec de la peinture acrylique turquoise appliquée avec un morceau de Cut 'n' dry et ensuite coller le sentiment sur la couverture.

 

 

11- Colorez les bords de la couverture avec de la peinture acrylique Turquoise Heavy Body, appliquez la peinture sur les bords avec un morceau de mousse Cut 'n' Dry, puis séchez la peinture avec un outil chauffant.

 

 

12- À l'aide d'un stylo à peinture blanc Posca, saupoudrer légèrement la peinture sur votre couverture, puis sécher à l'aide d'un outil chauffant Heat Gun.

 

 

13- Ajouter une attache parisienne sur le côté droit du couvercle, puis attachet votre journal avec la ficelle.

 

 

Créer les pages intérieures:


1- Coupez les pages intérieures de 9 "(22,8 cm) de longueur x 5,5" (13,9 cm) de largeur. Coupez cinq pages pour ce journal.

 

 

2- Placer le Pochoir à Linge sur une double page, puis saupoudrer d'Infusions sur le pochoir puis arroser d'eau. Tamponnez le pochoir avec un morceau de serviette de cuisine, puis retirez-le. Tamponnez l'encre restante laissée sur le pochoir sur une deuxième page double et tamponnez avec un morceau de serviette de cuisine. Cela donne une impression de deuxième génération. Sécher les deux pages avec un outil de chauffage.

 

 

3- Encrez le timbre numérique du jeu de timbres de Fiona avec Ocean Heavy Body Acrylic, appliquez la peinture avec un morceau de mousse sèche et puis imprimez les chiffres sur la page. Répétez ce processus pour ajouter un marquage aléatoire autour de l'arrière-plan de la double page propagation. Sécher la peinture avec un outil de chauffage. Rappelez-vous que vous pouvez également obtenir une deuxième génération d'estampage à partir d'une application de peinture.

 

 

3- Découpez une étiquette sur une carte blanche ou utilisez une étiquette que vous avez dans vos produits, coupez l'étiquette en deux puis placez le Pochoir à couches sur les étiquettes, puis appliquez la Peinture acrylique à la chaux sur le pochoir, en appliquant la peinture avec un morceau de mousse Cut 'n' Dry. Enlevez le pochoir, puis collez les étiquettes sur la page double.

 

 

4- Encrez le sentiment de l'esprit positif avec de l'encre noire et tamponnez le texte sur l'étiquette.

 

 

5- Encrer le timbre du cœur du jeu de timbres de Tracy avec de la peinture acrylique pour l'océan, appliquer la peinture sur le timbre avec un morceau de mousse sèche et puis tamponner le cœur sur un morceau de carton blanc. Sécher la peinture avec un outil de chauffage, puis découper le cœur. Apposez le coeur à la page de journal.

 

 

6- Ajouter une petite quantité de Peinture Océanique à une Feuille d'Art Non-Stick, tremper l'extrémité d'un pinceau ou d'un petit outil dans la peinture, puis ajouter des points de peinture à l'arrière-plan des pages du journal. Sécher la peinture avec un outil de chauffage.

 

 

7- Découpez plusieurs pages circulaires qui renforcent les pièces de la carte blanche (le Tim Holtz Tag et le Bookplate Die ont la pièce découpée parfaite pour cela). Colorez chacune des pièces circulaires avec de la peinture acrylique à la chaux, puis séchez avec un outil chauffant. Ajouter deux des pièces circulaires à la page du journal.

 

 

8- Ajouter une petite quantité de peinture acrylique à l'aide d'une feuille d'artisanat antiadhésive, tremper une vieille carte de crédit dans la peinture, puis appuyer sur la carte sur les bords des pages du journal. Répétez ce processus pour ajouter des lignes irrégulières sur les bords de la page.

 

 

9- En passant à la deuxième page, placez le Pochoir à Linge sur les pages du journal, puis appliquez la Peinture Acrylique Océan sur le pochoir, puis retirez le pochoir. Répétez ce processus pour ajouter un pochoir aléatoire sur la page et ensuite sécher la peinture avec un outil de chauffage.

 

 

10- Encre le timbre du coeur du jeu de timbres de Tracy avec de l'encre noire d'archives et puis emboutit le coeur sur la page. Tamponnez un cœur sur du papier brouillon, découpez-le et utilisez-le comme un masque. Placez le masque sur le premier cœur estampé, puis encore une fois encrant le timbre et ajoutez un second cœur, en imbriquant la première image estampée. Retirez le masque et répétez l'opération pour ajouter un troisième tampon. Une plate-forme d'estampage a été utilisée pour ce processus d'estampage.

 

 

11- Ajouter trois pièces de renfort circulaires à la page.

 

 

12- Ajoutez des lignes de peinture rugueuses sur les bords extérieurs des pages.

 

 

13- En passant sur la troisième page double, à l'aide d'un pinceau ou d'un pinceau, appliquez de l'eau directement sur la page puis ajoutez une nuance d'aquarelle bleue sur la page, puis faites basculer la page pour permettre à la peinture de couler un outil de chauffage.

 

 

14- Cercles découpés à partir d'un morceau de carte de ferraille. Die cut différents cercles de taille de la carte. Placez le morceau de cercle d'ouverture sur la page de journal, puis appliquez des peintures acryliques pour corps lourds sur les cercles, en appliquant la peinture avec un doigt. Répétez le même processus pour ajouter des cercles aléatoires à travers la propagation double page, puis sécher la peinture avec un outil de chauffage.

 

 

15- Placez le Pochoir Stripes sur les cercles au pochoir, puis appliquez de la Peinture Acrylique Blanche sur le pochoir pour ajouter des zones rayées aléatoires sur chaque cercle, puis séchez la peinture avec un outil chauffant.

 

16- Placez le Pochoir AALLandCreate conçu par Autour de Mwa sur le fond, puis appliquez la Peinture Acrylique Océan sur le pochoir, retirez le pochoir et répétez, puis séchez la peinture avec un outil chauffant.

 

 

17- Encrer le timbre d'arrière-plan du jeu de timbres Tim Holtz avec de l'encre noire d'archives et tamponner l'image sur le fond. Ré-encrez le tampon et répétez le processus plusieurs fois pour ajouter un marquage aléatoire à l'arrière-plan.

 

 

18- Découper une forme d'étiquette circulaire à partir d'une carte blanche, encrer le timbre de renard avec de l'encre noire d'archives et ensuite tamponner l'image sur l'étiquette circulaire. Apposez l'étiquette à la page, en ajoutant des fils de coton derrière pour la texture ajoutée.

 

 

19- Cachet 'Fearless' sur la page du journal en utilisant Black Archival Ink (une plate-forme de tampon a été utilisée pour ce processus).

 

 

20- Passer à la page de journal unique appliquer l'encre Twisted Citron Distress Oxide
