This design is all about adding layers to add depth and interest to a card. There are two videos for two cards in this series to show a variation and different technique to achieving a similar finish.

 

1 Cut a piece of white card to create a 5” square.

 

2 Place the white card and the Round Gel Press onto a flat surface.  Add a small amount of Lemon Heavy Body Acrylic to a glass matt or non-stick craft sheet and roll the brayer through the paint, to spread the paint out thinly. The aim is to add light layers of paint to the Gel Press. Roll the paint loaded brayer over the Gel Press using only a light touch and leaving some areas free from paint.  Roll any excess paint onto a separate piece of card to create a background for further stamping later in the project. Press the Gel Press onto the white card this gives the first layer of colour.

 

3 Add a small amount of Tangerine Heavy Body Acrylic to a glass matt or non-stick craft sheet, roll the brayer lightly though the paint and using a light touch roll the brayer over the Gel Press and then roll any excess paint onto the scrap piece of card. Press the Gel Press onto the white card, layering over the first layer of colour. This adds a second layer of colour.

 

4 Repeat the same process as with steps 2 and 3 with Lime and Turquoise Heavy Body Acrylic.

 

5 Now we need to add further depth to the design. Add a small amount of Magenta Heavy Body Acrylic Paint to a glass matt or non-stick craft sheet, roll the brayer lightly through the paint, only picking up a small layer of paint, as this is a very strong colour so we are only aiming to add touches of this colour. Roll the brayer around the edges of the Gel Press and then stamp the Gel Press onto the white card add yet a further layer of colour. Repeat this process with the Ruby Heavy Body Acrylic Paint. These two darker, stronger colours add depth to the design.

 

6 Place the No 4 Stencil by Fiona onto the Gel Press and then add a small amount of White Heavy Body Acrylic to a non-stick craft matt or glass matt and then roll the brayer through the paint and then brayer on top of the stencil. This time we need to add a little more paint so that the stencil design is transferred to the Gel Press and then stamp the Gel Press onto the white card adding highlights and a further layer of interest to our design.

 

7 Place Stencil No 6 by Autour de Mwa onto the background of the card and then add a small amount of Ruby Heavy Body Acrylic to your matt and then using an almost dry wipe, pick up a small amount of the paint and blend the paint over the stencil and then remove the stencil. Add some stencilling to the outside of the circular area too.  Add a touch more stencilling to the bottom of the circular area using the numbers from the same stencil.

 

8 Add some random machine stitching if desired to add a further layer to our design and adding great texture from the threads.

 

9 Ink the bird from Tracy’s Stamp No 6 with Black Archival Ink and stamp onto the background. Stamp the bird a second time onto the spare brayered card we created and then cut out the body of the bird and adhere to the first stamped image to add dimension. Stamp a further bird, cut out the image and add to the inside of the card.

 

10 Ink the numbers from Fiona’s Stamp No 3 with Black Archival Ink and stamp into the circular area.

 

11 Using a Black and White Posca Pen lightly flick paint onto the background of the card.

 

12 Matt the decorative panel onto a piece of black card, leaving a narrow border and then adhere to the card blank.

Cette conception consiste à ajouter des couches pour créer de la profondeur et une dimension à la carte. Il y a deux vidéos pour deux cartes dans cette série pour montrer une variation et une technique différente pour atteindre une finition similaire.

 

 

 

1- Coupez un morceau de carte blanche pour créer un carré de 5 pouces.

 

2- Placez la carte blanche et la Gelli Plate ronde sur une surface plane. Ajouter une petite quantité de la peinture acrylique "citron Heavy Body Acrylic par Dina Wakley" sur une feuille de verre mat ou antiadhésive et rouler le brayer à travers la peinture, pour étaler la peinture en couche fine. Le but est d'ajouter de légères couches de peinture à la Gelli Plate.

Rouler le brayer chargé de peinture sur la Gelli plate en utilisant seulement un léger contact et en laissant certaines zones exemptes de peinture. Rouler tout excès de peinture sur un morceau de carte séparé pour créer un un autre fond que nous utiliserons plus tard dans le projet.
Placez la Gelli plate sur la carte et appuyez, ce qui donne la première couche de couleur.

3- Ajouter une petite quantité de peinture acrylique "Tangerine Heavy Body Acrylic de Dina Wakley" sur une feuille de verre mat ou antiadhésive, faire rouler légèrement le brayer et, à l'aide d'une légère touche, faire rouler le brayer sur la Gelli Plate puis rouler tout excès de peinture. morceau de carte. Appuyez sur la Gelli Plate sur la carte blanche, superposition sur la première couche de couleur. Cela ajoute une deuxième couche de couleur.

 

4- Répétez le même processus qu'avec les étapes 2 et 3 avec de la peinture acrylique Lime et Turquoise Heavy Body Acrylic.

5- Maintenant, nous devons ajouter plus de profondeur à la conception. Ajouter une petite quantité de peinture acrylique Magenta Heavy Body sur une feuille de verre mat ou antiadhésive, faire rouler le brayer légèrement à travers la peinture, ne ramasser qu'une petite couche de peinture, car c'est une couleur très forte, nous visons seulement ajouter des touches de cette couleur. Rouler le brayer sur les bords de la Gelli Plate, puis tamponner la presse à gel sur la carte blanche ajouter encore une couche de couleur supplémentaire. Répétez ce processus avec la peinture acrylique Ruby Heavy Body. Ces deux couleurs plus foncées et plus fortes ajoutent de la profondeur à la conception.

 

 

6- Placer le pochoir no 4 de Fiona sur la presse à gélatine puis ajouter une petite quantité d'acrylique blanche sur un mat ou un antiadhésif, puis rouler le brayer à travers la peinture et ensuite le brayer sur le pochoir. . Cette fois, nous devons ajouter un peu plus de peinture pour que la conception du pochoir soit transférée à la presse à gel, puis emboutir la presse à gel sur la carte blanche en ajoutant des points saillants et une autre couche pour notre conception.

 

 

7- Placez le pochoir n ° 6 d'Autour de Mwa sur le fond de la carte, puis ajoutez une petite quantité de peinture acrylique Ruby Heavy Body Acrylic sur votre tapis, puis utilisez une lingette presque sèche, ramassez une petite quantité de peinture et mélangez la peinture sur le pochoir, puis retirez le pochoir. Ajouter un peu de pochoir à l'extérieur de la zone circulaire aussi. Ajouter une autre touche au fond de la zone circulaire en utilisant les chiffres du même pochoir.

 

 

8- Ajouter un peu de couture aléatoire avec de la machine si vous le souhaitez pour ajouter une couche supplémentaire à notre conception et aussi pour creer plus detexture.

 

 

9- Encrer l'oiseau du timbre n ° 6 de Tracy avec de l'encre noire et tamponner sur l'arrière-plan. Tamponnez l'oiseau une seconde fois sur la carte de remplacement que nous avons créée, puis découpez le corps de l'oiseau et adhérez à la première image estampée pour ajouter de la dimension. Tamponnez un autre oiseau, découpez l'image et ajoutez-la à l'intérieur de la carte.

 

 

10- Encrez les numéros du timbre n ° 3 de Fiona avec de l'encre noire et tamponnez dans la zone circulaire.

 

 

11- À l'aide d'un stylo Posca noir et blanc, appliquez légèrement la peinture sur l'arrière-plan de la carte.

 

 

12- Coller votre fond sur un morceau de carte noire, laissant une bordure étroite, puis adhérer à la carte.
